Mobile Legends: ZILONG Guide | Best Item Build | Tips & Strategy
Yun Zhao is one of my personal favorites in Mobile Legends and I'm sure many others love him too! But what is the best way to play him well? Read on to find out!
Yun Zhao Best Item Build

After exploring different item builds, I believe that the above is the best build for Yun Zhao. The sequence as to which items to get first, begins from left to right. So Swift Boots should be obtained first followed by Thor's Sting and so on.
Note: After the update, there have been changes to items so my new build for Yun Zhao is shown below. There isn't much changes to the build but do take note of the slight differences.

Swift Boots
+15% of Attack Speed
Unique Ability+40 Movement Speed
Both Attack Speed and Movement Speed are crucial for Yun Zhao. His passive can be activated more often with higher Attack Speed. The greater is Yun Zhao’s Attack Speed, the greater is the number of Dragon Flurries dealt to enemies. This means more outburst of damage being dealt to enemies.
Yun Zhao should also have higher base Movement Speed. This will greatly boost his Ultimate: Supreme Warrior when it comes to chasing down enemies or making his escape.

As mentioned earlier about the significance of both Attack Speed and Movement Speed, Windtalker further boosts Yun Zhao's passive skill. More powerful attacks and faster running.
On top of that, it allows Yun Zhao to somewhat possess an Area-of-Effect (AoE) ability that does Magic Damage to 3 enemies. This enables rapid clearing of enemy minion waves; quicker farming.
You want him to farm really fast so that he can purchase other items quicker and be ahead of enemy heroes. This allows Yun Zhao to have items advantage over enemies, which also means increased chances of killing off enemy heroes in clashes.

The main purpose of Berserker's Fury is to whip out extremely high critical damage. This item can allow Yun Zhao to almost instantly KO enemies during Critical Strikes!
Imagine Yun Zhao's rapid strikes from his passive skill coupled with higher critical strike rate and damage. The odds of landing critical strikes increases as more blows are being dealt due to high Attack Speed.
And what if all strikes landed are critical? Insane damage output!

Blade of Despair
+130 Physical Attack

Unique Ability
Deals additional 10% of damage to enemies in any abnormal state (stunned, knocked airborne, transformed and disabled).

This is the most expensive Attack item in the game currently, and can be crudely translated as the best Physical Attack item.
Notice the increase in Attack Speed too? Yes, Yun Zhao's passive skill is further optimised!
In short, it transforms Yun Zhao into a beast killing machine!

The addition of Lifesteal enables Yun Zhao to stay longer in the field. Longer time in the field means greater farming and mobility to provide assistance during team clashes. It also makes the difference in 1-to-1 battles when it comes to survivability and winning the duel!
Note that Fallen Sword does not give Lifesteal after the update, hence I replaced it with Endless Battle.

Immortality

This item provides some defense as well as some sort of insurance for Yun Zhao. Depending on the situation in late game, having a second chance to live briefly might make or break the game.
The first 5 items that Yun Zhao possesses enable him to lash out incredibly large amount of damage to enemy heroes. But that comes with the price of lower defense. Yun Zhao is vulnerable to quick deaths if he does not get to attack first. Thus, Immortality gives him another chance to strike enemies upon revival.
After resurrection is triggered, due to the cooldown time of 3 minutes, sell Immortality and buy another Attack item like Berserker's Fury or Blade of Despair. This is to increase Yun Zhao's offensive prowess even more while waiting for the resurrection to cooldown.
Usually I would have lots of spare cash to make either purchases based on this build. And if Yun Zhao is killed in action, I would sell the extra Attack item and buy Immortality again to reap the resurrection benefit. Then the steps are repeated depending on the match situation.
If you notice, this build revolves heavily on Attack Speed giving a total of 65% boost based on primary item build. I cannot stress enough the importance of building Yun Zhao with high Attack Speed to optimise his passive skill. But since his high damage output comes at the cost of lower defense, it also depends on how you play in game in order to maximise this build's potential. The video below reinforces the idea of this guide so do take a look to get a better understanding
